Stay Fresh Liverpool

Coming to university has given me so many amazing opportunities, including a radio show with my friend James!

Our show is called 'Stay Fresh Liverpool' and we are on JMU's own radio station, Looprevil Radio. When I was asked to do it with him, I never envisioned at all it would take off like it did. IN the first semester our time slot was hellish, Wednesday mornings 10-11. If that wasn't bad enough, Tuesday was always course nights out so most of our listeners would be asleep and I would always be still drunk from going to sleep at 6am! However in the second semester we got a much better slot, Wednesdays 4-6. " hours!!! And drivetime!!!

Over the past year we've managed to go from just 5 listeners on the first show to now a regular listener base of over 20, it doesn't sound impressive but it is for Looprevil. Who'd have thought we'd be one of the most successful shows?

I've had an absolute blast doing the show and cannot wait to restart it next year, hopefully with even more listeners and an even better slot! Primetime maybe!

I've also loved the fact that we've been able to invite guests from the course onto the show as it's added a new dimension to the show so thanks to Elicia, Josie, Sam, Mark, James and Joe for all volunteering to come on and a special thanks to those who have had to be emergency guests again when we've had last minute replacement shows.
And thankyou to James for letting me co-present!
